this is great! are there any plans to release this on the terraform module registry 🤞? I took a stab at wrapping this in cdktf but the support for working with local/git modules isn't quite there yet

That's a great idea that we should explore!

actually for my use case I think I can make it work if there was a version tag associated with the repo (been on the cdk train the last few years so my terraform knowledge is a tad rusty)
that way could keep the cdktf pypi / npm versions in sync with what's going on in metaflow-tools
