Hi All, I have an Argo Event/Metaflow question that I hope you can help with. We've had people ask about the ability to submit a run of an (already deployed) Metaflow pipeline from the Argo Workflow UI, but without it publishing events to downstream pipelines. Essentially, in some specific they would like to run the pipeline in isolation without downstream pipelines triggering. Looking at the Metaflow codebase, I think this could be achieved quite simply. In particular, as follows: • Add an
auto_emit_argo_events
parameter to the
WorkflowTemplate
manifest. This parameter would have a default value set to 0/1, depending on the value of
auto_emit_argo_events
in the
ArgoWorkflowsInternalDecorator
decorator. • Update this line so that the value passed to
argo_workflows_internal:auto-emit-argo-events
is `{{workflow.parameters.auto_emit_argo_events}}`where
auto_emit_argo_events
is the name of the parameter in the first bullet point. This would keep the existing functionality, but allow people to trigger pipelines from the Argo Workflow UI in the above manner. Does it seem reasonable?

Yep!

Perfect. I'll open a PR for this change in that case 🙂
