We've had a really great experience transitioning from Argo workflows to Metaflow with a k8s cluster, having Argo still take care of orchestration. I'm wondering if one can specify exact ec2 instance types in the resources decorator. I've seen this in a couple of examples in the docs but not finding the argument in the API docs. Any pointers would be much appreciated

Does Argo workflow support specifying exact EC2 type? We use karpenter in our k8s cluster for auto scaling and that's where we configure what instance type we want using nodepool.

@plain-barista-93517 - surely - you could use the
node_selector
or
tolerations
attribute in
@kubernetes
to target any specific node

Thanks, and sorry I'm late to respond. Is it as simple as this?
Copy code
@kubernetes(node_selector='m5.4xlarge')
I'm looking to specify an instance type, ideally spot, not necessarily a specific reserved instance in my cluster

it depends how your cluster is configured - but yes - every node is tagged with some labels and you can pass those into the
node_selector
attribute
