đź‘‹ hey folks, running into a WandB authentication issue when using metaflow with WandB
âś… 1
This is the error we are seeing. We performed all the steps here and it doesnt seem to work https://docs.wandb.ai/guides/integrations/metaflow
We are using AWS batch and the
@pypi
decorator for a simple pytorch based flow

Haven’t looked at the code but based on a very quick peek of their instruction, the login command must save something as env var or something and that is not getting picked up by the Conda environment. I can take a look a bit later.
Although I guess it depends on how you are login in.

Thanks @dry-beach-38304 ! Logging in using “wand login” on the command line before launching the flow
d
ok — I’ll try it out but ya, I suspect that it sets some envvar or something that don’t make it through.
s
thanks Romain, let me know if you need an example flow to reproduce.
d
it seems it sets something in a .netrc file (on a mac anyways). if running remotely, I wonder if it transfers that over. Could you send me something I can try easily?
s
sure, just DM’ed you an example flow
@dry-beach-38304, @chilly-quill-46782 was able to workaround this by manually initializing WandB in the steps that required it. It works well for now. For the future, it would be great to have the decorator working
