Hi Everyone! I am Oguz, a CS and & Physics student at Minerva University. I am applying to GSoC 2026, and I am interested in the Metaflow CI/CD: Kubernetes Integration Testing with GitHub Actions project. I have experience with Python, C/C++, and Git-based workflows through robotics, embedded systems, and full-stack projects, where I built control systems, data pipelines, and user-facing applications. I have worked with CI/CD practices and collaborative development in team environments during my Siemens internships and robotics projects, including testing, debugging, and iterative deployment. I am also familiar with containerization concepts and system integration through building and connecting multi-component applications. GitHub: https://github.com/thehephaistos What I've already done: Installed Metaflow, ran the tutorials, and explored the codebase - specifically the GitHub Actions workflows in .github/workflows/ and the existing QA test suite Opened PR #3047 fixing issue #948 (pathspec validation in the Client API): https://github.com/Netflix/metaflow/compare/master...thehephaistos:metaflow:fix/pathspec-validation-948 34 tests passing Why this project: The gap between Metaflow's local test suite and production Kubernetes + Argo Workflows deployments is a real problem; integration bugs discovered after merge are much more expensive to fix. I want to close that gap by building the GitHub Actions workflow using the dev stack, the pytest multi-backend aggregation plugin, and the check run integration. I've already read through the Runner and Deployer API docs and the existing QA test suite at github.com/saikonen/metaflow-qa-tests as starting points. Looking forward to contributing.
